Orchestra
The EMS Orchestra is an 80 piece ensemble, and has been in existence since the club's formation.

The ensemble has grown over the years to the point where it won't fit on Melba Hall stage any more! The Orchestra is currently conducted by Tony Brookes, who has been conducting since 2000. Past repertoire includes Mahler's Symphony No 1, Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherezade, Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique, Tchaikovsky's Symphonie Pathetique, Dvorak's New World Symphony and Lieutenant Kije by Prokofieff.

Rehearsals take place on Monday nights between from 5:45pm until 8:00pm, with a break around 7:00pm (refreshments provided). Any and all are welcome to come along and listen, play, join the club, or just have a good time (particularly bassoonists or viola players)!

Nathaniel Khng (viola), Fleur Blum (bassoon) and Celia Parham (cello) perform at the Engineering Dean's Honours Awards
